Effective Date: May 29, 2026

Welcome to BalkanResidents (“Platform”, “Website”, “BalkanResidents”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BalkanResidents platform and services. By registering, accessing, browsing, or using this website, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue the use of the Platform immediately.


1. ABOUT BALKANRESIDENTS

BalkanResidents is a business networking and communication platform intended to connect residents and non-residents interested in conducting business activities within the territory of the former Yugoslav countries, including but not limited to:

  • business networking,
  • professional communication,
  • job opportunities,
  • business advertisements,
  • collaboration between individuals and companies,
  • sharing of business-related information.

The Platform allows registered users to:

  • create personal or business profiles,
  • upload professional information and CVs,
  • publish job listings and business advertisements,
  • communicate with other members,
  • join approved business groups,
  • establish professional relationships.

BalkanResidents acts solely as an intermediary platform facilitating connections between users.


2. ELIGIBILITY

To use the Platform, users must:

  • be at least 18 years old;
  • provide truthful and accurate registration information;
  • comply with all applicable laws and regulations;
  • use the Platform only for lawful business or professional purposes.

We reserve the right to request identity verification where deemed necessary.


3. USER REGISTRATION AND ACCOUNTS

Users may create an account to access certain features.

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
  • all activities conducted under your account;
  • ensuring that profile information remains accurate and updated.

BalkanResidents reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts suspected of:

  • fraudulent activity,
  • spam,
  • harassment,
  • illegal conduct,
  • misleading business representation,
  • misuse of the Platform.

4. BUSINESS GROUPS AND MEMBERSHIP APPROVAL

Participation in business groups is subject to administrative approval.

Submitting a request to join a group does not guarantee acceptance.

BalkanResidents and group administrators reserve the right to:

  • approve or reject membership requests,
  • remove members from groups,
  • restrict access to specific groups,
  • moderate group activities.

No explanation is required for membership rejection or removal where deemed necessary for platform safety, professionalism, or compliance.


5. JOB LISTINGS AND BUSINESS ADVERTISEMENTS

Users may publish job listings, business opportunities, and advertisements.

By publishing content, users confirm that:

  • information is accurate and lawful;
  • job offers are genuine;
  • advertisements are not misleading;
  • they possess all legal rights to publish such content.

The following content is prohibited:

  • fraudulent job offers,
  • pyramid schemes,
  • illegal employment offers,
  • discriminatory content,
  • misleading financial claims,
  • spam advertisements,
  • abusive or offensive content.

BalkanResidents reserves the right to:

  • edit,
  • reject,
  • suspend,
  • remove,

any listing or advertisement at its sole discretion.


6. USER COMMUNICATION

The Platform may provide messaging, networking, and communication tools.

Users agree to communicate professionally and respectfully.

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • harassment,
  • hate speech,
  • threats,
  • abusive language,
  • intimidation,
  • fraudulent communication,
  • spam or unsolicited promotions.

BalkanResidents may monitor, moderate, or restrict communication activities where necessary to maintain platform integrity and legal compliance.


7. CVs, DOCUMENTS, AND FILE UPLOADS

Users may upload CVs, resumes, and professional documents.

By uploading files, users confirm:

  • ownership or legal rights to the documents,
  • accuracy of uploaded information,
  • consent to make such content visible according to selected profile visibility settings.

Users acknowledge that:

  • third parties may access downloadable documents if made publicly visible;
  • BalkanResidents is not responsible for unauthorized copying, misuse, or redistribution by third parties.

Users must not upload:

  • illegal content,
  • copyrighted materials without authorization,
  • malicious files,
  • misleading professional credentials,
  • false employment records.

8. USER CONTENT RESPONSIBILITY

Users remain solely responsible for all content they publish, including:

  • profile information,
  • advertisements,
  • comments,
  • uploaded files,
  • messages,
  • business information.

BalkanResidents does not guarantee the truthfulness, legality, quality, or reliability of user-generated content.


9. NO GUARANTEE OF BUSINESS SUCCESS

BalkanResidents does not guarantee:

  • successful business cooperation,
  • employment,
  • investments,
  • contracts,
  • partnerships,
  • financial outcomes.

The Platform only facilitates introductions and communication between users.

All business decisions are undertaken entirely at users’ own risk.


10. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

BalkanResidents acts solely as an intermediary platform.

We are not a party to agreements made between users and shall not be liable for:

  • failed business arrangements,
  • scams or fraudulent activities,
  • financial loss,
  • breach of contract,
  • non-payment,
  • poor quality services,
  • damages caused by third parties,
  • disputes between members.

Users are solely responsible for conducting independent due diligence before entering business relationships.


11. ADMINISTRATIVE RIGHTS

BalkanResidents reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to:

  • approve or reject users,
  • remove content,
  • suspend accounts,
  • restrict platform access,
  • delete advertisements,
  • close groups,
  • terminate memberships.

Such actions may be taken where necessary to maintain platform integrity, legal compliance, or community safety.


12. PRIVACY AND GDPR COMPLIANCE

BalkanResidents processes personal data in accordance with applicable European data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Personal data may be processed for:

  • account management,
  • communication,
  • moderation,
  • fraud prevention,
  • platform functionality.

Users have the right to:

  • access personal data,
  • request corrections,
  • request deletion,
  • object to processing where legally applicable.

13. DIGITAL SERVICES ACT (EU) COMPLIANCE

  • responsible hosting of user-generated content.

Users may report illegal or abusive content to the Platform administration.


14. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

Users agree not to:

  • engage in fraud;
  • upload malware or malicious software;
  • manipulate reviews or recommendations;
  • misuse user information;
  • violate local or international law.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension.


15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All platform branding, design, content, logos, and software remain the intellectual property of BalkanResidents or its licensors.

Users may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit platform materials without written permission.


16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BalkanResidents shall not be liable for:

  • indirect damages,
  • financial losses,
  • loss of business opportunity,
  • reputational damage,
  • data loss,
  • technical interruptions.

Platform services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of uninterrupted operation.


17. TERMINATION OF USE

Users may stop using the Platform at any time.

BalkanResidents reserves the right to terminate or restrict access to any account for violations of these Terms or suspected abuse.


18. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the Platform following updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.


19. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with applicable European laws and the laws of the competent jurisdiction where BalkanResidents operates, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions.

7. JOB LISTINGS AND BUSINESS ADVERTISEMENTS

Information published in job listings, advertisements, and business opportunities may be visible to other users and visitors.

BalkanResidents does not guarantee the accuracy, legality, or legitimacy of opportunities published by users and is not responsible for agreements made between users.

Users interact and conduct business at their own discretion and responsibility.


8. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

BalkanResidents may use cookies and similar technologies to:

Code of Conduct for Members of the Platform

Residents, foreigners with residence rights, and all other members)

This Code of Conduct applies to all members of the platform and Business Club and is accepted by every member upon registration.

Article 1

By becoming a member of the platform www.balkanresidents.com, you agree to fully comply with this Code of Conduct, which applies to the entire platform and all of its portals.

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in permanent removal from the platform, financial penalties, or legal action before the competent court for such disputes.


Article 2

All platform/portal members are required to pay membership fees regularly through the website. Failure to do so may result in immediate suspension of membership.

More information is available in the Platform Pricing List. In such cases, the full membership fee will apply.


Article 3

All members must follow standards of respectful and professional communication toward other members and the Founder of the platform.

Inappropriate comments on the Blog or Members Forum may be sanctioned by permanent exclusion from the platform or legal action before the competent court.


Article 4

All members may comment on Blog posts or Forum publications made by other members or the Founder.

Personal inquiries must be submitted in writing to:

A response will be provided within 2 business days, as the Founder will not answer personal questions through the Forum or Blog.

For questions related to personal needs or issues for which members cannot find answers, please contact:

Article 5

On the Blog and Forum, all members who insult other members, individuals, members of the platform board, or Business Club members in any way will be sanctioned.

Inappropriate posts or comments will be removed immediately.


Article 6

The Founder and Owner of the platform will organize member gatherings and networking events for Business Club members at least four times per year in selected cities and restaurants to encourage cooperation among members.

The first gathering will be organized once the platform reaches 500 members.

Members will be informed through the Forum and Blog, with priority given to Business Club Members.

An established dress code must be respected.


Article 7

Any member dissatisfied with the platform services or companies recommended by the platform must submit a complaint to:

The Founder is obligated to respond to complaints within 3 business days.

Residents may submit complaints in their native language, although the English language is recommended.


Article 8

Members are not allowed to publicly criticize on the Forum or Blog:

  • services used through the platform;

  • companies recommended by the Founder;

  • other platform members.

Violation of this rule may result in permanent exclusion and legal action before the competent court.

Members are advised to be cautious with public comments.


Article 9

The platform will operate in the English language, with translation options available in 11 additional languages.

However, Forum and Blog comments may currently be posted only in English.

This policy may change in the future, and support for Forum and Blog communication in 8–9 languages may eventually be introduced.


Article 10

The “Job Market” (Jobs) section has its own specific regulations.

However, all users of this section are also required to comply with this Code of Conduct in addition to the separate Job Market rules.


Article 11

Members may be entitled to a refund if approved by the Platform Board following a member complaint.

In such cases, Business Club Member discounts and privileges on:

and all future affiliated portals may be revoked.


Article 12

All Business Club Members (BcM) are entitled to:

  • 10–15% discounts on legal services from agencies recommended by the platform;

  • 10% discounts on accounting services from agencies recommended by the platform.

Discounts are available through active membership and regular payment of membership fees.

Proof of eligibility may be obtained via email request.

Members must always request platform confirmation for discounts, which will be issued by partners through written email confirmation.


Article 13

All members agree to this Code of Conduct from the day they become members of the platform and portal.

Members may use a nickname of their choice on the Forum and Blog, while SuperAdmin and Admin maintain access to the member’s real identity.


Article 14

This Code of Conduct was unanimously adopted by all members of the Platform and Business Club Board and becomes effective from the official launch date of the platform:
